Post-Barcelona Open-Conde de Godó Tournament preparation at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona (RCTB-1899)

Once the 2024 Conde de Godó Trophy concluded, Greencourt worked hand in hand with the RCTB-1899 maintenance team to restore the clay courts to their optimal condition. The goal was for the club’s members and schools to continue enjoying top-level playing quality the day after the competition.

The intervention combined precision and speed to minimize downtime. We performed a selective scraping of the top layer in the most worn areas, with the addition of new clay, leveling and fine grading —laser-assisted when necessary— and roller compaction to restore flatness. The line markings were reviewed and redrawn, drainage points were cleaned, and irrigation was adjusted to stabilize humidity and prevent dust during peak hours.

The result is a cohesive surface, with a clean and predictable bounce across the entire court and controlled sliding that protects joints. The club thus maintains the excellence characteristic of an ATP tournament with efficient daily management, optimizing the use of water and materials and ensuring an impeccable presentation at all times.

The result is a completely renovated tennis court, where innovation and respect for the environment go hand in hand to offer a high-level sports experience. With this project, Greencourt reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, construction quality, and the modernization of sports facilities throughout Mallorca.
