From a fast court to a multi-sport space at Carpe Diem in Cadaqués
At Carpe Diem Cadaqués, we have transformed an old tennis court into a modern and versatile surface designed for intensive and varied use. The project focuses on the installation of the EDEL AGILE system, a 20 mm fibrillated artificial grass which, combined with silica sand infill, offers durability, comfort, and a consistent bounce from day one. The surface retains the agility inherent to tennis but adds a softer and more stable footing, ideal for users of all levels to enjoy a safe and pleasant experience.
The new paving adopts an intense green that revitalizes the space and visually integrates the court into its surroundings. As the silica settles, the bounce becomes even more uniform and traction improves, ensuring performance that enhances with use. AGILE stands out for its mechanical resistance and reduced maintenance, qualities especially valuable in a hotel and resort where user turnover is high and the court must always be ready.
The EDEL AGILE system, 20 mm fibrillated turf with silica sand infill, transforms the fast court into an agile and stable multi-sport surface, with minimal maintenance in intensive use environments.
The intervention has been conceived as a multi-sport space: the tennis base is maintained, but the surface easily accommodates other recreational and training practices, and allows for the scheduling of various activities throughout the day. The result is a versatile, comfortable, and resistant court, prepared to withstand continuous use and offer a top-tier experience to both regular players and occasional hotel guests.
